WHERE MY JOURNEY BEGAN
I’ve been an athlete my whole life and never thought I needed to pay attention to what I ate. Over the years as life demanded more of my time and energy, I could no longer outrun my poor eating habits. I began noticing subtle changes such as shortness of breath, muscle fatigue and a decline in my body's performance. Food cravings drove my choices and with it came the unwelcome cycle of guilt. The guilt fueled more stress, creating a never-ending loop that chipped away at my emotional well-being.
On July 1, 2023, instead of eating to escape the stresses of life, I committed to eating nothing but simple, whole foods. Through this 3-year long journey, I have learned a lot more than I expected. Ailments that I was assured I would have to learn how to live with, have regressed, confusing even the experts. A strong body, a clear mind and deep restful sleep are simply byproducts of this journey.
